That is why we are proud to announce that Elevate Protein Flour is now BioChecked Non Glyphosate Certified™.
This independent third-party certification confirms that Elevate has been tested and found to contain no detectable glyphosate residue under BioChecked’s certification standard.
What Is Glyphosate?
Glyphosate is a widely used herbicide and the primary active ingredient in products such as Roundup. It may be used during the growing process for certain crops, and consumers have become increasingly interested in understanding whether residues remain in the foods they purchase.
Wheat is not genetically engineered to tolerate glyphosate. However, glyphosate may be used in some conventional farming systems for weed management or as a pre-harvest application under certain conditions. Residue can also potentially enter the food supply through environmental sources such as spray drift.
Because you cannot determine whether a finished food contains glyphosate simply by looking at it—or solely from a general sourcing claim—testing the finished product provides a more direct answer.
What Does BioChecked Certification Mean?
BioChecked is an independent third-party certification organization. To qualify for its Non Glyphosate Certified™ program, a product must be tested by an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory and show no detectable glyphosate residue at the laboratory’s lowest practical detection limit.
BioChecked reports that this detection limit is typically 0.01 parts per million, or 10 parts per billion.
Certification is not based solely on our own assurance or a statement from an ingredient supplier. Laboratory results are independently reviewed against BioChecked’s standard, and certification must be renewed annually. BioChecked may also perform random spot checks to help maintain compliance.
Put simply: we did not just decide to call Elevate glyphosate-free. We had the finished product tested and independently certified.
Why We Pursued Certification
This is one of the questions we have heard most consistently since launching Elevate:
“Is your flour glyphosate-free?”
Until now, we could share our sourcing information and previous test results, but we wanted to give customers a clearer and more credible answer.
Independent certification removes ambiguity. Instead of asking you to take our word for it, we can point to a defined testing standard and an outside organization that reviewed the results.
Elevate is made from two wheat-derived ingredients: wheat protein isolate and resistant wheat starch. Those ingredients are what give it its unusual nutritional profile, including 13 grams of protein and 13 grams of prebiotic fiber per serving.
We believe that creating a better-for-you flour should also mean being transparent about how that flour is evaluated.
Does Non Glyphosate Certified Mean Organic?
No. Non Glyphosate Certified and certified organic are different claims.
Elevate Protein Flour is not certified organic. BioChecked certification specifically addresses whether glyphosate residue was detected in the tested product under the certification standard.
We want to be precise about that distinction. This certification does not mean that no agricultural inputs were ever used, nor does it make broader claims about every part of the farming process. It means the finished Elevate Protein Flour product met BioChecked’s requirements and tested with no detectable glyphosate residue.

We know no single certification answers every question a customer may have. But we believe meaningful transparency is built one concrete step at a time: disclose the ingredients, substantiate the nutritional claims, test the product, and bring in qualified third parties where independent verification matters.
This certification is another step in that direction.
